Basic concepts and components of Novij Protocol

Basic components and concepts used in the decentralised Novij Protocol system

Web Client

The user interface (website) through which interaction with the network and data is carried out:

  • Sending and receiving data
  • Managing access rights
  • Working with modules and services

Mediator Server (Layer-0)

A linking element between users and storage nodes. Performs:

  • Relaying and processing requests
  • Encryption and decryption of access keys
  • Participation in moderation and voting
  • Receiving rewards for activity
  • Recording wallet operations

Storage Server (Layer-1)

A node that physically stores encrypted data blocks. It does not know the block contents, but only:

  • Accepts and returns data
  • Ensures availability and fault tolerance
  • Cannot decrypt the information independently

Block

The basic data unit in the network (512 KB). Contains:

  • Encrypted payload
  • Reference to the next block
  • Digital signatures and metadata

Block Chain

Sequential linking of blocks using hash references. Provides:

  • Immutability of history
  • Cryptographic verification of records
  • Ability to verify data origin without disclosing content

New Protocol Token (NPT)

The internal unit of settlement for the Novij Protocol network. Used for:

  • Paying for operations (read, write, storage, voting)
  • Rewarding participants (developers, servers)
  • Registering new nodes and securing deposits
  • Implementing referral and partner models
